Looms, spinning wheels, and sewing needles, were the essentials of every home.

The lady of the house made most of the clothing for the family.  Local stores carried simple items, or they could order items from the mail order houses of that day.

Fine china was enjoyed by only a few.  This case holds cups from several countries.
